My inspiration comes from the natural world celebrating the variety of textures, and delicate shapes/layers of plants and trees. I enjoy exploring different processes, finding out ‘what will happen if…’ using natural materials gathered from the hedgerows (sticks, dried grasses, weeds and seeds) incorporated with fabric, paper and wax. Sustainability is important – recent work includes experimenting with plant dyes, learning to spin with plant fibres and wool from a local flock, weaving and using photographs together with sounds.

I am a member of two Groups zero nine textile artists and marks and stitch
